What do you think about arcades? What's your favorite arcade game and how do you play it if you can't see? My favorite game is called Vertical Reality, and it's found at GameWorks locations across the country.

Most pinball machines are awesome, only problem with those is that sometimes you have to have somebody tell you when to press the flippers since you cant see when the ball is going down

I've always loved Ski Ball and Air Hockey! Also, the game where you hit the sliding crocodiles on the head with a mallet is way easier than the pop up whack-a-mole. I also like those virtual ski, snowboard, and motorcycle games that you can actually stand and ride on. There are some games I get away with since I have some sight, but I won't comment on those since we're talking about universally blind-accessible games.

Back in my gaming days, I use to play the mortal kombat series, most notably ultimate mortal kombat3.

Skeeball rocks! I can't leave an arcade without a game of Skeeball. Just Wednesday, when I went back to GameWorks, I played it. I don't know how I'm good at Vertical Reality. You have to have sight to play it, but I always wind up getting high scores.

I like skiball and try to play as much of it as I can when we go to Mr. Gatye's so I can win lots of tickets! *smiles*

Hey wait, is vertical reality that game where you stand and they have this camera and you make hitting motions and hit the stuff on the screen to earn points? There's a game like that and I made everyone laugh because I was using my cane to make the hitting motions and whacking the things on the screen with my cane.

Air hockey! By far, that has to be my favorite game in the universe. I don't go anywhere to play it, though... I have an air hockey table at my house.

Oh and also I like to hit the flippers on pin ball machiens over and over lol ahahah it's fun! But skiball and air hockey are both kinda visual but kinda not. In particular ski ball is not too visual. Air hockey kinda is but it's fun anwyay.

I heard of some accessible games based on Space Invaders, most notably Termight Torpido, but the only free one I heard of is Dark Destroyer.

Arcades suck now... all the ones with actual games in them have those stupid card things that make you pay a dollar for a game or maybe even higher and the old ones are at 75 cents, at least that's how the one in Times Square (Broadway City it's called) is and I've heard GameWorks is the smme too. Ahh I remember where arcades had games in them instead of that stupid hockey giant simulation tv shit came about. ONe a little far away from me More Fun (now Smiles Entertainment) used to have all these neat games, lots of the capcom fighters were there and they costed 25-50 cents... and yes skiball is fun though I used to be able to play it better than I have lately.

I've not been into an arcade in years. However, when I did go, I loved playing the Mortal Kombat series and The Simpsons. When I do go I play air hockey, pool, or a racing simulator. I think racing simulators r the best.

alright you guys. ok mortal combat and stuff has been mentioned. not final fight and other sidescrollers.
i live in england, and we have a lot of arcades. whenw e go somewhere i always ask about arcades.
i play mostly side scrollers, shooters and things.
most shooter games, dad helps me aim. i like just hearing the sounds when i hit thigns and i just like going further in the game.
now for the good stuff.
at shanklin arcade, there is a game called the lost world. it's a sit down shooter game. but the dinosaurs are massive. you can't see them if your blind, but no matter where you shoot you hit them.
now, the levels take about 20 minutes to complete they are so long.
one day however, i put a pound coin in. ya need a lot of them because you sometimes die real quickly.
i played and i played until the point i got to a very hard boss. this was like for half an hour shooting dinos.
also, the crockadial (wap-a-snapper) game is accessible. also, for the pop-up games, hit them with your hands. feel and when ya feel one pop up, press it down! rofl!
now then, i've heard of racing games. there are some that move. but waht the heck is a racing simulator? the racing games i play ar *****not**** accessible! help me out with them please, give me hints! do i need to go on ones that move? i cant find any!

You guys forgot one. There is also the one with the frogs where you have to race the frogs, you just press the buttons really fast to make them jump faster, that game is relly easy, but if you do it right, and if your frog wins, you get lots and lots of tickets. Oh yeah, and I almost forgot, centipede is another good one. One that used to be out was the hungry hippo, that game was so much fun, and of course, who doesn't have fun playing ski Ball, I can't play air hockey for crap though. Lol.
